🌠 Perseid Meteor Shower Tonight! Williams Lake community — best viewing time is around 2:00–4:30 AM. ✨ Grab a blanket, find a dark spot, and look up! But please keep one eye on the clouds too… because Williams Lake has a long history of showing us a perfect forecast and then saying: “Surprise! Nothing to see here.” 🤣☁️ Still worth a try — maybe tonight the sky finally cooperates! 🌌😂
🌘 Today, the sky gives Williams Lake a reason to pause.✨✨ Whether you see an eclipse through science, faith, or simply the wonder of nature, moments like this remind us how extraordinary our universe is. ☀️🌙 For Muslims, an eclipse is also a time for prayer, reflection and gratitude — known as Salat al-Kusuf. 🤍 No debate. No division. Just sharing something meaningful to our community. 🫶 📍 Williams Lake, BC 📅 August 12, 2026 ⏰ ~9:00–9:56 AM PDT ⚠️ Please use certified eclipse glasses. Different beliefs. Same sky. 🌎🤍 #WilliamsLake #SolarEclipse2026 #Eclipse2026 #BritishColumbia #WilliamsLakeBC ExploreBC CanadianMuslims SalatAlKusuf Community Astronomy

What a truly memorable and successful visit by BCMA (@the.bcma )President Dr. Adel Guitouni to Williams Lake!❤️ What made it even more special was the incredible warmth, kindness, and love shown by our community. Williams Lake once again proved that small communities can have the biggest hearts. ❤️✨ We were honoured to be joined not only by members of the Muslim community, but also by our MLA Lorne Doerkson, (@lornedoerksoncariboochilcotin ) Mayor (@mayor_rathor)Surinderpal Rathor, City Councillor Michael Moses ( @michaelmoseswl ), and our super-cool RCMP officer Brad McKinnon. Your presence meant a lot and reflected the spirit of unity that makes our city so special. One of the most inspiring parts of the evening was hearing everyone speak about diversity, inclusion, equality, and standing together against hate. Different backgrounds, different stories, but one shared belief: when we choose understanding over division, everyone wins. Now… let’s be honest for a moment. 🤣 The speeches were wonderful. The conversations were meaningful. But the FOOD… the food was operating on a completely different level!😋 We strongly suspect that was the real reason many people attended yesterday. 😆🤣🥘(Just kidding) After all, food is everyone’s love language. A huge thank you to Pak Samosa House, Howdy Café @howdy_cafewl , and Pind Balouchi @pind_balluchi_restaurant for making sure nobody left hungry—and for successfully helping gaining calories!🏆😂 And a special shoutout to the CCIC @ccic_bcma Board and our amazing volunteers. You organized everything beautifully on such short notice. Events like this don’t happen by accident—they happen because dedicated people quietly work behind the scenes to make them happen.🫡 Finally, thank you to the Williams Lake Tribune @wltribune for covering the event and helping share our story with the wider community. 🥳 A night filled with friendship, laughter, meaningful conversations, and enough food to keep us smiling for days. Williams Lake, you absolutely nailed it. ❤️ #canadamuslims 🇨🇦 #williamslake #bcma #peace
From the Williams Lake Muslim Community to everyone — Eid ul-Adha Mubarak! ❤️🌙🤍 Eid is about love, ❤️sacrifice, 🥹sharing, 🤲🏼and remembering that no one should feel forgotten. 🫂It is a day to open our hearts, our homes, and of course… our food tables. 🥘🥙🥗🍮🍱😋 We love to eat, share, and feed, feed, feed — until you feel full for the next few weeks! 😝😝 But behind every plate is a bigger message: kindness tastes better when it is shared.🤍✨ May peace win, may every heart shine, and may we keep making Williams Lake a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and loved. ✨🌎🕊️🫂✨ #williamslakemuslims #canada🇨🇦 #treding #eidmubarak
Month of Dhul Hijjah — a reminder for every heart 🤍✨ Every year, millions gather from every colour, country, language, and background — standing side by side as equals.🕋✨✨ No race above another. No wealth making anyone greater. No status deciding someone’s worth. Just human beings learning humility, patience, sacrifice, and peace.💚🤲🏼 May this sacred time remind us to accept our differences, listen with empathy, speak with kindness, and treat every person with respect! 🕊️🌎❤️✨ Because a better world begins when hearts become softer. 🤍 #canada🇨🇦 #williamslakemuslims #islamispeace #hajj
